This also makes it easier for our clients to also be a part of the solution because with every purchase of a new pair of glasses, you also participate in giving your old eyeglasses to someone less fortunate and supporting environmental solutions.

At Eye Candy Optometry, you'll also find many eco-friendly products featured in our store besides eyewear. These goodies are are part of our 'Receyecle' concept. All of the items are fair trade. For those that are made in the USA, the artists have chosen charitable groups and organizations they like to work with. Shopping has never felt this good.

Unite for Sight
Unite for Sight is a non-profit organization that unites businesses and individuals together with those in need around the word by giving them the gift of sight. Several of our optical lines participate in Unite for Sight. At either Eye Candy location, we collect used eyewear you no longer want, refurbish them, and send them to Unite for Sight to distribute to underprivileged individuals all over the globe.

Heifer Foundation
"The Heifer Foundation is an organization that takes a holistic approach to building sustainable communities, ending poverty and hunger, and caring for the earth. Most companies send gift baskets when they want to say /Thank you/ to other companies with whom they have established great professional relationships. At Eye Candy, we send a goat--yes a goat and some chickens too! The Heifer Foundation has set up a system of giving that empowers families all over the world to take care of themselves. Angels in Fur Dog Rescue
Angels in Fur Dog Rescue is a non-profit dog rescue organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and restoring dogs to loving homes. Once a month, you can find a new furry friend as Angels in Fur holds adoptions in front of Eye Candy Optique.

Tree People
Tree People is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Los Angeles area for over three decades. Simply put, their work is about helping nature heal our cities. Eye Candy features several eco-friendly lines. With the purchase of a frame from any one of these lines, Eye Candy will plant a tree in your honor.

Essilor Vision Foundation
Essilor Vision Foundation is a public charity whose mission is to eliminate poor vision and its lifelong consequences, starting with children. Through in-school and partnership programs, they provide free eye exams and new prescription eyewear to children who could otherwise not receive eyecare.

They also educate parents, teachers, caregivers, and community leaders to be aware of the implications of poor vision and watch for signs of vision problems in children. By helping children see clearly today, we give them a better chance of succeeding tomorrow. Eye Candy is proud to feature Essilor lens products in our stores. Not only do they have some of the best lenses on the market, but they also help those in need. What could be better?

Sight for Students
Sight for Students is a VSP charity that provides free vision exams and glasses to low-income, uninsured children. The program operates nationally through a network of community partners who identify children in need and VSP network doctors who provide the eye care services.

Dr. Rabbani and Eye Candy are a part of this community that provides complimentary exams and glasses to children who otherwise couldn't afford the services. If you have a child who qualifies or would like your school to participate, have your school nurse contact Sight for Students for a voucher.
